An archeological dig was attended by TillVAS members under the tutelage on Richard Carlton from Newcastle University, mainly digging in the Kirk Field. Some ancient coins and pieces of pottery were found. A metal detector helped. The 'finds' will be returned for all to see once they have been recorded. A lecture on 'Lost Churches and Sepulchres of the Mediaeval Borders' by Peter Ryder followed by a walk to the chapel finished off the course.
